Walking Spot

Today I finally made the leap and officially launched my business, Walking Spot. It is a pet service company dedicated to walking your dog when you cannot! Basically... I'm a dog walker. Ha! I don't have a website as yet but I have created a page on Facebook and on twitter. I will first see how big the response is before I branch out :-) I am verrrry excited about this! I enjoy walking my dog Tank and I would love to help out families that can't walk their furry friend. I will keep you all posted on how it's doing. And if you know anyone in the ranpark ridge area (Johannesburg, south Africa) who is looking for a dog walker then please let me know! Doggie walking

I remember telling Nivan (my husband) last year that if we moved to Cape Town I couldn't have a normal 9 to 5 job in an office. I would need to let my creative side come out, the sea air does that to you. I casually mentioned that I would become a dog walker and do artsy crafts things during the day. I can imagine it now.. Sitting on the balcony over looking the sea, the crashing of the waves and the sounds of seagulls chattering fill my ears. The wind blowing in my hair while I enjoy making/painting/drawing something to sell. Then in the late afternoon I would fetch all the pups and take them for a walk along the beach front while watching the sun set behind the ocean. Yes. That's the life my friends. Sadly that's also just in my head... Where a lot of imaginative things come from! So I was thinking today that I don't need to be near the ocean for me to do something about one of my ambitions, I can do it here, right after my 9 to 5 job! And that is dog walking. I take my pup, Tank, for a walk everyday anyway so why not extend the invitation to other dogs to! (while getting paid for it!) it's a great idea! R50 an hour. I could put flyers out around my neighborhood and see what the response is. What do you think?? I have the vision... I just need a name... Hmmmmm.... Wagging tails? Pups on the go? Pads and paws? Walking spot? Any suggestions are welcome...really! I could use some! I can get my mom to design everything for me ( it's awesome having a graphic designer in the family!) and off we go! I think it would be a great thing to do.when families are just too busy, when they go away and leave their furry friend behind or when they just can't walk far themselves, give me a call and I will take care of your best friends needs!
